I failed to "Help dig" in the Shored-up Tunnel using the burrowing horror

I got another new version underground and got the other new version a couple times, but not I am not getting either version. I'm not getting anything special even after Scraping Summons.

Terrible serpent on tainted shoreline:

You call up a glowing form with a sound like the scraping of a blade on bone. The creature digs into the serpent for 7 etheric damage.
The serpent latches onto you and tears a chunk out of you with her teeth, dealing 2 melee damage.

You chitter a passage from your tome aloud. A ghostly creature, all legs and chitin, strikes at the serpent with its appendages, dealing 4 etheric damage.
The serpent waits until the last moment, then leaps into you, dealing 1 melee damage.

EDIT: Vs. Lake Serpent on Waterfront:

You call up a glowing form with a sound like the scraping of a blade on bone. The creature digs into the lake serpent for 6 etheric damage.
The lake serpent lurks under water, waiting for an opening.

You chitter a passage from your tome aloud. A ghostly creature, all legs and chitin, crawls over the lake serpent. Its passage leaves innumerable punctures for 16 etheric damage.

EDIT: This seems to be for unopposed, and unrelated to Scraping Summons.
