Right, so I think they do the charging up with green energy attack one round, then follow up with the large chain of attacks the next. Otherwise, it's just launching single attacks at you.

Some years ago, Kinak confirmed that this is not the only opponent that has "conditional" chains, or at least there is a system in place where the opponent's chains are not wholly picked from a random list. I've been keeping an eye out for this but haven't found anything through casual observation so far.

Closest is The Painted Sky which maybe only tosses a star clue out after the second round but that might just be wishful thinking there. Anyway, something to keep an eye out for.
