Just got this:
You instigate a small-scale collapse with your digging arm, dropping 7 damage worth of rock on the bats. The attack came from an unexpected angle, avoiding the bats' defense.
The bats beat their wings, flying above your reach.
Doesn't seem to happen all the time. What's the best way to categorize new combat mechanics like Cut The Lights?
Huh. A year or two ago, I theorized how cool it would be to have a technique that you could only initially acquire from a limited time event, but then could be traded back and forth in pvp like Stream of Needles. Thinking about this, I just realized something.
Kinak loves flags instead of hard coding things. You can learn techniques like Brutality or Stream of Needles if they are in the opponent's deck. I'd bet you can learn Mining Strike or Burrowing Arm from any opponent that has them in their deck, if you also meet the equip conditions. It makes a lot more sense to base it off of the techniques instead of the opponent. So if you are learning how to mine, you just need the right tools and a teacher to demonstrate.
I have a few copies of Burrowing Arm. So before I reset again, can someone who isn't going to reset for a long while kill me in pvp with a corroded digging arm equipped and get a copy for themselves, who can distribute it to others? I can loan of the digging arm if needed. Thanks!
Burrowing Horror is more problematic. Not sure how we're going to preserve that one unless there are mining drones in Oldtown.
