Tunnels successfully expanded muchly after about 15 energy from checking the option "Explore further."

Tunnels successfully expanded muchly after 12 energy from checking the option "Explore further." Checked to "See if it expanded" a total of 4 times.

I think after you find the side tunnels this encounter gets replaced for the day by the Subway Dweller Conversation. At any rate, I can't seem to find it after a lot of energy spent looking for it.

Well it's not really possible for this to be replaced by Subway Dweller Conversation because Subway Dweller Conversation is etheric only and this encounter is sober only.
