Got +2 bonus xp vs a hound drone.

You lay into the drone hound for 24 damage.
The drone hound sprays a noxious mist at your face, but your air is safely filtered.

You punch the drone hound, throwing the whole weight of your body behind it and dealing 18 damage.

You drop any pretense of civility and suddenly club the drone hound for 19 damage.

You grab the nearest heavy object and jump at the drone hound, pummeling it for 14 damage.


You've won the battle!


You found: circuit fragments

You found: hound drone memory

After the combat, you patch yourself up, healing 4 hit points.

You've earned 1 XP in Perception

You've earned 4 XP in Strength

Against hound drones with the newly found Drone Anatomy, I've been consistently getting 5 xp from each drone. This would be 2 xp more than the base. Crypto confirms this.

The hiding guard encounter just gave 9 XP for fighting two drones.

3 drones = 13 XP
1 drone = 5 XP

Odd.

EDIT: Nevermind, had a +1 XP each Combat bonus, so it all makes sense now.

I can't test this without resetting but I am getting +2 XP for all drones I fight — I would guess you get +1 XP for Drone Studies, or +2 if you have Drone Anatomy too.

Burrowing Drone = +2 (5; expected 3 without)
Serving Drone = +2 (4; expected 2 without)
2x Drone Hound plus MSec = +4 (14 XP total; 10 expected without effect)
Drone Hound = +2 (5; expected 3 without)

EDIT: Barton26 says this same thing, with Drone Anatomy, 11 years ago in the discussion above.
