From a different site, the name of which I was too dumb to note. I also got a link to Roy's, but with different text:
You queue up a batch for Connection Records containing Manual Search, Disk Browser, and another Manual Search.
The records point to one another, more like a puzzle than a file system… but one you feel comfortable handling.
You pore over the link records, more glad with each passing line that you have a search function to help you out. Out of all the records, there's one unlike any other… almost as though you're meant to find it, pointing to a server called Roy's One Stop.
The strangely-dressed guardian routine gets the details of your batch, reporting them back to the system.

The system's automated defenses follow your tracks, increasing the Alert by 8.
Your connection flickers for a moment, then goes dead. Well, looks like it finally managed to block you.

Another attempt:
You queue up a batch for Connection Records containing Disk Browser.
This doesn't seem to be a set of connections records… at least not from a living site. It looks like records, sure, but the connections are almost entirely between subsystems here.
If there's something hiding in there, you'll probably have just as much luck unraveling the knots of data as searching through it.
The eyes peer into your programs as though judging you for the Basic Filter you have not yet used.
The system's watching eyes hone in on your disturbance.
The system takes note of your actions, increasing the Alert by 4. Without the way you slipped through the system, that could easily have been 1 alert worse.
The system starts up its Gothic Guardian routine.
Another one. I think it might make sense to make a separate page for this routine:
You queue up a batch for Connection Records containing Direct Command, Offboard Command, Tactile Command, Fractal Command, and Disk Browser.
The records point to one another, more like a puzzle than a file system… but one you feel comfortable handling.
You force the server to untangle the worst of the internal references, but still end up poring over the link records. Out of all the records, there's one unlike any other… almost as though you're meant to find it, pointing to a server called Roy's One Stop.
The eyes peer into your programs as though judging you for the Crash Script you have not yet used.

The alarms from your action echo through the system, increasing the Alert by 15. Without the way you slipped through the system, that could easily have been 3 alert worse.
Your connection flickers for a moment, then goes dead. Well, looks like it finally managed to block you.
