Help with The Fangs Hideout

Summary:

Wanting to know how to get the Dr. Thomas encounter. What I'm currently doing doesn't seem to be working very much.

Hi all,
I have about 50 Eclipse, so getting to the Hideout isn't a problem. The problem I have is getting the encounter for Dr. Thomas. I just don't know what to do here and the encounter never comes up. Does having some EP help? When I take at least two Eclipse I get an encounter where I can slip through, dash, wait or abandon and eventually I get one where i can end the Fangs by stealing their stuff or torching the place.
I guess that's what it's for but don't I have to get Dr. Thomas first?
I'm pretty much a new player, and my account has been around for two years, I gave up on it when I started for some odd reason.
Edit: What about this flower thing Lo is talking about? When am I supposed to get that?

You first need to get far enough into the hideout, which it sounds like you have done already.

What you want is an encounter where there's a trio of Fangs talking. If you choose to eavesdrop on them, you should get Dr. Thomas. WARNING: if you kill too many Fangs, they will be too jumpy to gossip and you won't be able to get her info and you'll have to wait until much later on in the main questline. If you're really set on getting her info, you can run away from fights until you do. If there are Fangs sleeping in the hut encounter you mention, you're still good. If you get an empty hut, it's too late for this run.

Chances are pretty good, Joshua Tubbs, that you've already locked yourself out of getting Dr. Thomas as a contact. If you kill 10 or more Fang gang members in the hideout you can never learn Dr. Thomas's comm number. At least not until near the end of the main quest line.
