Obtaining this is probably a lessening chance per day. (Success, success, failure, failure, success).

Haven't had much success in finding the "difficult to avoid in its native environment" feature underground:

A pale shape pulls itself from the ground and bites You for 12 damage, but your difficulty isolating a target lets them avoid all of the damage.
The bats swirl in the air, making it hard to pick any individual out among all the wings.

A pale shape pulls itself from the ground and bites You for 26 damage, but the stone absorbs all of the damage.
The serpent melts into the stone.

But its native environment might be underwater or cavern. It's not easy to find someone who can evade etheric in those locations though… (just ocean king or flooded sewers pvp for underwater, and no one at all for caverns). Or some monsters from items, maybe.

Good find here Vholes!

"Difficult to avoid in its native environment" might mean some kind of restrain? To test, we'd have to find an opponent who can be fought underground who can evade Etheric attacks. The Bat Swarm is the only one I can find, unless say, opponents like the Flickering Guard count if you use the item while in an underground location (hm, have we ever tested this? I suppose it would be easy enough to try with the salamander).

A pvp volunteer with Light of the Eye and zero Will would be very useful here… >.>

Anyway, not sure of the normal evasion range for the bats, but it can still do at least 12 even with the restrain:

A pale shape pulls itself from the ground and bites <the bats> for 12 damage, but your difficulty isolating a target lets them avoid all of the damage.

Yep! See my message preceding yours on the thread. (You might have an earlier cached version? I edited it several times.) The serpent avoided 26 damage underground, and as for other areas I listed what I think are the only non-"summon" opponents who could evade etheric in those areas. It's not too easy to find.

0 ED -4 EP: A pale shape pulls itself from the ground and bites the enforcer for 4 damage.

= 8 base damage underground
