Whiteout and Light of the Eye are both Etheric techniques that do defense. Whiteout uses Evasion Power and LotE uses Etheric Power though. I wonder if those are different for any particular reason? Narratively, it makes sense for LotE to use Etheric Power, and I could go either way with Whiteout. Hm, podcast question maybe?
