• 3x Crushing Punch
• 3x Knife
• 3x Life of the Party

I got XP instead of Rhythmic Chopping. I already know 3 copies of it so maybe you need more Brutality than Rhythmic Chopping to learn more?

To answer my own question, you seem to need X copies of a technique in order to learn the Xth copy of a new technique.

Data:

• 3 Brutality and 3 Chopping = XP
• 4 Brutality and 3 Chopping = more Chopping
• 5 Brutality and 5 Chopping = XP (from Crypto)
• 6 Brutality and 6 Chopping = more Chopping (from Crypto)

So I have 3 copies of Metallic Summons right now, and failed to learn a 4th copy with all my techniques. That means that I must have exactly 3 of the needed technique (or had 3 of the needed technique yesterday). This gives:

Jab(3)
Shadowed Mask(3)
Knife(3)
Blade of Frost(3)
Life of the Party(3)
Scripted Dance(3)
Focused Burst(3)
Generated Gaze(3)

Not sure how to work it onto the page but the helmet provides hidden bonuses while music is active. May require being Etheric but couldn't burn it off before I was out of energy.

Focused Harmony/Ponderous Seed: +2 Morale
571/Brain Staples/Shotgun Saint: +2 Damage when unopposed
Hunt for the Gift/Emerald Gift/Secondhand Gift/Spooky Music: +2 Etheric Power
Dance Music: +2 Evasion Power
Gaming Music: +2 Etheric Defense

I was expecting Spooky Music to give the same bonus as the Gaming Music but it did not. Could be some variance throughout with music lacking a defined genre. Also no bonus was visible with Extreme Bass Player XIII.

I was hoping for a microphone but got this instead just now instead. See below for my equipment and such. I seemed to take longer than previously for it to trigger (got XP ~8? times before this message — over the course of two days.)

You find yourself whispering along with the lyrics as though you were onstage, hissing into a microphone as the swirling emerald lightshow casts writhing shadows over the crowd. Eventually the hallucination passes, but you can't shake the sensation of a thousand eyes on you.

Hmm. I'd thought that I failed the first time because I had the Stainless Skulls axe equipped, but it could have just been a coincidence that I got the microphone after unequipping the axe.

It's really incredible the level of audio detail you can get with this helmet. You're sure it's supposed to bring out the best of the Stainless Skulls somehow… you'll just have to pay more attention next time.

I'm not getting anything special listening to Idol Metal with a limited edition Idoru or My Little Idoru (the description mentions that it sings) equipped. I'm not sure there's anything here, but maybe there's a Zaibatsu-ish technique somehow. Ditto Idoru nurse and replica sword (it's a Matso knockoff) equipped. I'll have to try the ever-popular Channeling Matsuo when I have more E/H/B. Or maybe a Zaibatsu mister or Zalian defense tool?
