Nothing special for:

• taking a bunch of Eclipse with it equipped (35)
• using etheric techniques to kill opponents (Evil Eye/Call the Swarm)
• eating people with it equipped

Nothing special for getting the TV message while Etheric:Oh! This doll you've been carrying around is totally a My Little Idoru version of the Zombie Lord. Just, you know… female.

Have you tried Channeling Matsuo or killing innocents (high evil value actions)?

Actually, you may want to focus on Call to Feast (without air filter) or Withering Gaze, since techniques you learn from using other techniques tend to be in adjacent or the exact same chain position. Hex is another thematic choice, too.

Also, there is a chance, although slim, that the trigger is actually another "strange doll", such as the twisted voodoo doll, hungry doll or headless voodoo doll.
