Hacking Opponents
crashedprogram.jpg This page covers the way hacking worked from August 2009 to Early 2013. The hacking mechanics described here have been completely replaced by Novos. The Hacking page provides an overview of the current mechanics.

Hacking opponents guard sites when hacking.

Opponents seem to have a ranking of difficulty, roughly as follows. Some spading is still needed to distinguish between some levels - those with the same superscripts indicate that it is unknown which is the higher level.
