Unlocks special fishing results.

This effect will override triggers that would ordinarily give you special fish on your next fishing encounter (e.g. unearthly coin flips, or using Metallic Oil and choosing "Head out to fish"). Kinak: "if you want to catch fish rather than junk or monsters, high test isn't the effect you want to be using."

The noncombat results increase in frequency with chance of fishing up objects; indeed, with +2 in that bonus every high test result will be a noncombat, even on the shoreline while etheric (which normally does not have a noncombat etheric high test result.) (Not tested with other values of objects fishing.)

If chance of fishing up actual fish has any effect on high test encounters, it has not been demonstrated. With +2 actual fish bonus both noncombat and combat results still apply.

Note that while this page refers to combat and noncombat results for the sake of clarity, the effect of chance of combat encounters and similar bonuses have not been tested.
