Overview
Prior to The Incident, The Slags was a major commercial/industrial district. However, it was essentially leveled by an Etheric explosion of unknown cause.
Currently, The Slags are surrounded by a massive barrier wall covered with machine guns and patrolled by helidrones. The interior is full of shattered ruins and etheric phenomena. There is a high-security lab run by Midgard in the middle, which performs research on The Artist and The Squatter King's Son (presumably among others). Other notable features are:
The Abandoned Buildings, one of the few locations where Etheric constructs can be encountered while sober (specifically Twisted Hounds) and the location of Dr. Johnson
Ground Zero, a massive crater presumed to be the exact location of The Incident and at the base of The Malestorm.
