Encounter Conditions

Not much progress on animatronic construction during Halloween 2022?

Initial Text

A strange display of scaffolding seems to be intended to represent a quadruped more than support anything else here. Still, why the janitors aren't concerned by people building a statue in their territory is anyone's guess.

Choice Text and Results

Examine it

Checking over the supports, you're fairly sure you could make them with enough polysteel and a welding torch. It would take some time, but nothing too serious.

And, presumably:
You've learned a new armory recipe: Polysteel Support - Melt together eight handfuls of Polysteel into a support pole

Climb in it

You clamber over the supports. They crackle ominously and one of the connectors slips out, dumping you back to the ground.

Well, even if you shouldn't be climbing it, the animatronic still has a ways to go.

You take 3 damage.

You've earned 4 XP in Reflexes

Reinforce the joints

There isn't much around other than duct tape, but that's probably enough for the job at hand. You wrap a joint until it's a slightly sticky but far stronger mass.

You've earned 2 XP in Will

Prop a polysteel support

You clamber over the supports. They creak and groan, but hold up surprisingly well.

You've earned 4 XP in Strength
(Lose 1 polysteel support)

Add an animatronic motor

It takes some fine effort to wire in the tiny motor, but even by itself it is enough to move some of the smaller supports.

You've earned 4 XP in Reflexes
(Lose 1 animatronic motor)

Leave it be

You ignore it, passing a few janitors that seem inclined to do the same.

(Walk Away)
