The girl selling books… Jess, you think her name is, flags you down. "Thanks so much for collecting signatures for us! I think we've got the deans on the ropes, but the more signatures we collect the less likely they'll turn on us at the last second."

"What?" she looks suddenly self-concious. "I'm event coordinator, you have to think of these things."

"Anyway, they started quoting us numbers, so I ordered a bunch of Halloween merchandise. You should give me a call if you're interested in anything."
