How can I help?

"Well, it's still pretty early. We don't even have the stage up yet and if we don't get that done… the show must go on, but without a stage it seems kind of challenging." She flashes you an easy smile.

"Mostly right now we're looking for some folks to help get the building materials down here. They get dropped off to the Quad."

She looks thoughtful for a moment. "It'll probably be easiest to have someone move them from the Quad to the Dorms, then somebody else get them down the stairs. Those stairs are brutal."

"Other than that… well, we always need more volunteers. There are probably some stragglers in the Quad or Happy Hour you could round up. Maybe even independent security if you know where to get some. That'd be great."

"Of course, if you don't want all that legwork, you can just help out down here setting up the decorations and stuff." She flashes another grin. "Thanks!"

Or, after the stage was set up:

She smiles easily. "Well, the stage is done, which is great."

"But… you knew there was a 'but' coming, right? There's still a lot we could improve on before then. The stage isn't very stable and the electronics aren't doing much better, so if you're handy around a blowtorch or a set of capacitors, we could use a hand."

"Hmmm… other than that, there are probably still some stragglers we could get at the Quad or the Happy Hour. We need as many volunteers as we can get if we'll be done by Halloween!"

She sighs softly. "And there's the punch, which if last year was any indication, will need to be watched carefully."

"And don't feel bad if you want to stay down here and work on decorations or stuff. There's plenty of work to be done all around."

How am I doing?

If you've helped out a little?:

"Well, I've heard you've been helping us set up, which is great!" She flashes you a broad smile.

"Keep up the good work!"

If you've helped out some:

"Well, I've heard you've been helping us set up, which is great!" She flashes you a broad smile.

"Really, thank you so much. You've been a huge help so far!"

Or ???

"Don't worry about how everyone else is doing, just keep up the good work."

If you've helped out a lot:

"Well, I've heard you've been helping us set up, which is great!" She flashes you a broad smile.

She leans a little closer and drops her voice to a conspiratorial whipser. "Don't spread this around, but you're in the top five best volunteers so far."

If you've been helping advertise the counter-party:

"Well," she lets her smile flicker out for a second, "I haven't heard much good. Sounds like you've decided to throw in your lot with the drunks."

"I understand they think very highly of you. It's just a shame you're wasting your efforts." She sighs.

If you're the best helper for the counter-party:

"Well," she lets her smile flicker out for a second, "I haven't heard much good. Sounds like you've decided to throw in your lot with the drunks."

"You're number one in their book… It's just a shame you're wasting your efforts." She sighs.

But, hey, number one!

If you've planted some eclipse:

"Well," she looks at you strangely, as though outlining your body with her eyes, "it would seem you've decided it would be a great idea to repeat our issues last year."

"Or I suppose it's just a coincidence that one of the volunteers gave me this." She drops a handful of Eclipse at your feet.

If you've planted loads of eclipse:

"Well," she looks at you strangely, as though outlining your body with her eyes, "it would seem you've decided it would be a great idea to repeat our issues last year."

"Some of the volunteers put together a list of the top five people they suspect of… malfeasance. Your name was right in there."

"Well," she looks at you strangely, as though outlining your body with her eyes, "it would seem you've decided it would be a great idea to repeat our issues last year."

"In fact, I've heard some of the volunteers calling you 'Public Enemy Number One.' Congratulations." Her inflection on the last word is hard to read, but it almost might be a compliment.

If you've destroyed stuff a little bit:

"Well," she lets her smile flicker out for a second, "I haven't heard much good. Sounds like you've been making a nuisance of yourself."

She shakes her head. "Just think of how well we'd be doing if you pitched in instead of breaking everything."

If you've spent some time destroying the party:

"Well," she lets her smile flicker out for a second, "I haven't heard much good. Sounds like you've been making a nuisance of yourself."

"In fact, I heard some of the volunteers putting together a list of the hoodlums causing the most damage. You were right up near the top. I hope you're happy."

"In fact, I've heard some of the volunteers calling you 'Public Enemy Number One.' Congratulations." She lets the last word hang, dripping with sarcasm that's almost toxic.

And, in addition to the above, if you've earned an Emerald Gift ticket:

She stops for a moment and pulls out her PDA. "Ah. It'd seem that you've caught the eye of someone on the Student Council. Congratulations!" She smiles broadly, pauses for dramatic effect, then hands you a trick-or-treat bucket… with an Emerald Gift ticket inside!

Or…

She stops for a moment and pulls out her PDA. "Ah. It seems you brought in a lot of volunteers and… well, good or bad, the Student Council would like me to reward you. Congratulations!" She smiles broadly, pauses for dramatic effect, then hands you a party hat… with an Emerald Gift ticket attached!

What about tickets?

"Well, I'll be distributing all the tickets. But," one side of her smile twists up wryly for a second, "of course the student council won't let me choose everyone. That would make too much sense."

"Instead, the various factions represented on the council will send me names and I'll hand them out. So, make sure you check in with me after you impress folks so I can get you your ticket!" Her eyes glitter as she smiles and for a moment there's no doubt in the world that you'll impress people.

Tell me about last time

She shakes her head. "Last Halloween was a disaster. Someone contaminated the candy, the punch, everything with some drug called Eclipse."

"I'm just glad the school gave us the chance to try again at all. This time, with Midgard's help… it should be flawless."

You're not sure if she's trying to convince herself or you.

Nothing, thanks

You nod at her and head past. She waves back, but seems relieved to have someone she doesn't have to pay attention to.
