Midgard Relay Net

The security layer of the Midgard implementation of Novos, these sites are reached if you have one of the four relay effects:

Adventuring in the correct area with the appropriate effect and Juryrigged Antenna active will let you encounter one of these sites. See Backbone Control for full details about the backbone relay system.

Encounter

All Subrelay sites start with the following message:

You follow the virtual breadcrumbs to near an old tangle of utility lines. Whatever's in there has been updated to Novos.

You follow the signal to <Subrelay name>.

Or if ???:

You follow the virtual breadcrumbs to another tangle of utility lines. Whatever's in there has been updated to Novos.

You follow the signal to <Subrelay name>.

The Backbone sites each have a different introduction message — see individual links to them above.

Defenders

See Novos Defenders for full details of mechanics.

For Subrelays:
Defenders Alert
First defender: Relay Redirector Never at ≤5 Sometimes at 6-8 Always at ≥9
Second defender: Static Feedback Never at ≤13 Sometimes at 14-16 Always at ≥17?
Kick Never at ≤22 Sometimes at 23-24 Always at ≥25
For Backbones (assuming all 4 are the same):
Defenders Alert
First defender: Overwatch Never at ≤2 Sometimes at 3-4 Always at ≥5
Second defender: Static Feedback Never at ≤8 Sometimes at 9-11 Always at ≥12
Third defender: Static Feedback Never at ≤13 Sometimes at 14-16 Always at ≥17
Kick Never at ≤20 Sometimes at 21 Always at ≥22

History

At some point, the text was:

You follow the virtual breadcrumbs to near an old tangle of utility lines. Whatever's in there has been updated to Novos… presumably the Golden Chip will be interested.

You follow the signal to <Subrelay name>.
