Description | You can feel your blood, which is itself kind of bizarre. But the way it's thicker, but still slides through your veins… ugh. |
Hidden Flags | Blood Effect |
Effects | Triggers learning when enough blood is spilled |
Source
Using oily dust (25 energy)
Notes
After getting beaten up in combat, receive the following message:
You wake up in a pool of your own blood that paints an abstract pattern in blacks and reds.
And get randomized XP proportional to your energy of this effect (5 XP at 25 energy), and lose all energy of Oily Blood.
Or, if you have a mysterious puzzle item equipped:
Item | Message changes to | stat gain is all in |
---|---|---|
mysterious puzzle box | You wake up in a pool of your own blood that paints an chaotic pattern of clashing blacks and reds. | Reflexes |
mysterious puzzle pyramid | You wake up in a pool of your own blood that paints an intricate pattern, like a snowflake in blacks and reds. | Perception |
mysterious puzzle rod | You wake up in a pool of your own blood that paints a great fire. It rises from reds near you to blacks at the leaping tips of the flame. | Strength |
mysterious puzzle tablet | You wake up in a pool of your own blood that paints a vast, open eye. Healthy red blood pools in the "iris", while oily black blood has moved to the furthest edges of the eye. | Will |
After losing enough HP in combat, receive the following message:
Your blood pours from your wounds, forming enchanting patterns of red and black.
If you have a mysterious item equipped, all the XP gained is set to that stat (as above), but the message does not change.
(got a total of 4 XP from the Flying Eye, did not lose the effect; then got a total of 4 XP from writhing mass, lost 4 energy of the effect (+another 1 for spending energy), then got 6 XP from another writhing mass and lost all remaining (had 13) energy of the effect)
