Initial Text

You find yourself hemmed in by a knot of dancers. They don't seem to bear you any ill-will, but they also don't seem to understand the concept of "personal space."

The only real saving grace is that it's a Halloween party, so the elbows jabbing you are covered with mummy wrapping and the feet stepping on yours are wearing high heels. Actually the latter isn't terribly present, nor is it likely to be unique to Halloween.

  2. Observe them - something happens

Choice Text and Results

Join the dance

You join in the dance, learning some new moves. It's fun, at least a change of pace from how you normally show off your footwork.

You've earned 3 XP in Reflexes

Or, with Party Buzz and Dance Music active?

You show off your moves, impressing the crowd around you enough to have several handfuls of candy thrown at you. At least, you hope it's because they were impressed.

You found: 4-6 of candy corn, candy eyeball, mini caramel bar, peanut butter candy

You've earned 4 XP in Reflexes

Observe them

You watch the dancers for a while. They seem to all be having a good time, but to make their moves you'd have to be drunk, really know the music, or probably both. They all seem to be going the "both" route.

You've earned 3 XP in Perception

Pick some pockets

You walk through the distracted, dancing crowd. Your eager hands find a nice stack of chips.

It's not a haul to write home about, but you can't argue with free.

You found: 0-1 fresh cred chip

You found: Emerald Gift sample

You found: 0-2 battered cred chip

You found: 0-2 571 chip

Start a brawl

You wait carefully, pushing the dancers into each other, trying to trigger a fight. They seem just as happy bouncing off each other as they were writhing in place, though.

Hmmmm, yeah, nothing. At least it was a good work out.
