In a nearby alleyway, a ganger is shaking down the injured man you met earlier. It's never easy to say, but it sounds like things might very easily get violent.

You back off a bit, watching the exchange. From what you can catch among the shouting, it sounds like the homeless man purchased some drugs from the ganger. Now the ganger's come back for payment and the homeless man is unable or unwilling to pay up.
You don't get a lot of details for Mikhail, even whether this is the drug he's wondering about. Whatever it is, the homeless man speaks wistfully of getting another hit rather than the need you'd expect from a real addict.
It seems you'll have to take a more active hand to get the information you're looking for.
