Join in

(If wearing 2 parts of a Doctor's outfit)

You manage to engage one of the doctors in conversation. Unfortunately, he must be the most boring person in the entire facility.

He talks and talks and talks… on the bright side, he'll probably tell you whatever you want.

They avoid even making polite small talk with you as they scatter. Seems like somebody thinks they're too good for you.

Talk about medicine

You get into a conversation about the fine points of the experiments that go on here and medicine in general. Most of it doesn't make a great deal of sense, but you feel way smarter when you're done.

You've earned 4 XP in Perception

Talk about the Slags

"Ah, the Slags. That's what we're all here for, really. Studying their effects on local flora and fauna," he stares off into space for a bit. "And, of course, treating the folks that come back out of the Slags."

You gently steer the conversation towards getting into the Slags. "Oh, yeah. Most of us aren't allowed in. Working in the internal lab requires special testing. Even most of us can't pass, so don't feel bad if they kick you out."

(Unlocks Testing Lab)

(And, if you already have a Slags medical ID)

"Oh, you already… have a pass. Okay." He looks disquieted for a bit then wanders off.

Kill him

You decide to liven up the conversation with some gunfire and punches. The doctor wakes up out of his trance to defend himself.

(Fight Midgard Scientist)

Bore him

You engage in an epic battle of wills, trying to bore the doctor off before you fall unconscious. The two of you battle back and forth for what seems like days before he eventually wanders off.

You've earned 4 XP in Will

Or, with the Quantum Mechanics skill

He's brought his best boring medicine game to the table, but you up the stakes with an unassailable wall of quantum physics jargon. He tries his best for a few minutes, but eventually wanders off, defeated.

You've earned 6 XP in Will

Pick some pockets (Evil)

They seem fairly oblivious. You manage to gaffle a few small items without anyone noticing.

Your hand slips into their pocket, but you aren't able to snag anything.

You've gotten better at pickpocketing.

Thankfully, nobody notices your attempt.

You've earned 6 XP in Reflexes

The doctor who caught you with your hand in his pocket looks furious, lashing out at you. The others, whether out of procedure or just not wanting to get involved, scatter calling for security.

You've gained 20 duration of redalert.jpg Red Alert.

(Fight a Midgard Scientist)

Old results:

You found: 2-3 of battered cred chip, locker key, pep pill, protein bar, Slags cheatsheets, Surgeon's Mask

Death to all (evil (4))

You charge into the middle of the group, fists swinging and guns blazing. They seem prepared to defend themselves, even if not well.

(Fight 4 Midgard Scientists)

On success: You've gained 20 energy of Red Alert.

Note: You get 2 XP Reflexes if you successfully run away. No bonus XP if you win.
