Choice Text and Results

Search for a view inside the crates

You flip past a few pages of the hero being mangled by demonic creatures that don't seem to have anything to do with the boxes. The first image after those reveals the hero looking into a crate containing the dismembered parts from the previous half-dozen images.

Which are… his body? The next image makes it even stranger, with him carrying off an armload of his own limbs like firewood.

(Adds a collection of his own limbs to the list of items in your quest log)

Look for other crate arrangements

You carefully search the book until you find a sketch of the hero stacking the crates into an elaborate step pyramid. It looks like hard work, inspiring a bit of sweat to your brow and a tingle of pain to your biceps.

See if there's a view from atop the crates

Earlier in the book, you find a series of sketches showing the hero standing on each crate in turn, observing his surroundings. It's funny at first, but gets a bit surreal as he appears standing on other crates as well in the later imagines.

The art is interesting and detailed, although it's hard to say what he's trying to get across.
