Initial Text

Well, this place is definitely a construction site. There are a few hoppers for drones to collect bricks and mortar, but they're empty and unused.

If anything, the section of wall here looks like it was raised by hand… and not particularly well, at that.

After people had helped build up the walls some:

Summary of Choices

  1. Steal Materials (after people had helped build up the walls) - gain polysteel support or 4 polysteel or 5 XP Strength
  2. Add to the wall - gain 4 XP Strength
  3. Add a polysteel support - lose 1 polysteel support (more effective with hammer weapon?)
  4. Run security optics (after enough cable run) - lose thick cabling and optical array
  5. Tear it down - various results, more effective with crowbar weapon, hammer weapon or mining weapon
  6. Leave it be - walk Away

Choice Text and Results

Steal Materials

You pry out one of the polysteel supports. It even manages to stay in one piece!

You found: polysteel support

Or

You pry at one of the supports, but it just pops into a rain of polysteel. That… doesn't seem very safe.

You found: 4 handfuls of polysteel

Or

You pry and pry at the supports, but none seem to come loose. Somebody must have really pounded this section in.

It's a good workout, but that's about all you can say about it.

You've earned 5 XP in Strength

Add to the wall

You look around some, but there don't seem to be any bricks. You could scavenge some from the wall, but that seems a little self-defeating.

You've earned 4 XP in Perception

Or, if you found bricks earlier at the Rubble-Filled Dumpster:

You haul over the blocks you found earlier and add them to the wall. It's really drone work, but with the state of the drones around here… it's probably better you just handle it.

Add a polysteel support

Scaffolding100.jpg

You slot in another polysteel support. It's looking pretty good.

Or, with a battered hammer equipped?

You hammer in another polysteel support. It's looking pretty good.

Run security optics

Requires thick cabling, an optical array and having learned about the cameras through the Dorm Signal

You run some thick cabling into the security system and set up an optical array to watch over the construction site. It can't cover everything, obviously, but it's a nice bit of progress.

Tear it down

You pull down as much of the wall as you can, but it's taking as much work to pull down as it does to put up… if not more. It's brutal labor.

You've earned 4 XP in Strength

Or, near 10 pm UTC on Oct 23? (this was with crowbar if it matters)

You pull down as much of the scaffolding as you can and leave it in a heap. Thankfully, nothing seems particularly well-attached.

You've earned 3 XP in Strength

or with the Hammer's Sledge equipped:

You take your sledge to the wall. It's almost as destructive as it is satisfying.

You've earned 2 XP in Strength

You've earned 2 XP in Will

or with the digging arm or mining pick equipped:

You dig deep into the wall. It makes things a bit unstable.

You get out of the way of falling chunks of wall, but it's a close thing.

You've earned 2 XP in Reflexes

You've earned 2 XP in Strength

Evil

Leave it be

Yeah, you have better things to do with your time than play with some shoddy wall.
