Initial Text

You find one end of the room, which seems to have been decorated already, has a lot of security clustered around crates. Judging by the open bottles in the guard's hands, the crates contain wine.

You've heard the Halloween party has had issues with contaminated drinks before, but it should be easy enough to check out whole bottles of wine. The guards might be assigned to keep an eye on things, but it looks like they're just here burning through the drinks.

Choice Text and Results

Unpack some wine

You move forward to start unpacking the crates, but one of the guards waves you off. "Naw, leave it for the caterers. They're the ones getting paid for that shit."

He punctuates the sentence with a swig from the bottle he's holding.

Join in

You sit down, sharing a drink with the guards. They let their guard down after a while, apparently enjoying "making sure nobody messes with the wine."

You've earned 2 XP in Will

Pass a thermos

You pass your thermos around. Most of the guards stop drinking wine for long enough to have a taste.

By the time you leave, they look a lot more alert than when you got there.

You found: pitted thermos

You've earned 4 XP in Will

Grab some wine

The guards scowl at you as you approach the wine. They don't seem interested in even letting you get close.

Shake them down

The guards shrug. One offers "we'll get riiiiiight on that," earning a few drunken snickers from his coworkers.

Rush in

You charge in. Only two of the guards seem to take the threat seriously enough to come back at you, but they raise collapsible batons in earnest.

(Fight 2 Ballroom Security)

Leave them be

You leave them to their drinking.

(Walk Away)
