Choice Text and Results
Jack in
The system is antiquated and doesn't give you a lot to work with. Luckily, they didn't actually pull the ports out, so you're able to jack your computer into it.
(Leads to Vault Records hacking)
Harvest its parts
Nobody's around, so you dig into the computer's innards, coming back with quite a bit of raw materials. The computer won't do anyone any good until they repair it, but that's not really your problem.
You found: Gain 5-6? of capacitor array, circuit fragments, frayed cable, microcapacitor, memory stick, thick cabling
Pull up files
You try to pull up files, but the system won't let you get even close. The computer is running a version of Novos that's been modded extensively to look like the software this thing probably shipped with.
It's so convoluted it's hard to say whether your inability to get to the files is a security system or layers of unstable interface mods.
You'll probably want to jack in a different computer to at least get a modern user interface.
You've earned 2 XP in Perception
Surf the Net
This computer doesn't seem to have a connection to the Net. There's a little green light labeled "Line Out" but apparently it's not out to the Net.
Or, after disabling Line Out:

You've earned 3 XP in Will
Play a game
The computer does actually have an old chess program running on it, but it's entirely text-based. That's probably why nobody noticed it.
You're pretty sure it's looking for some weird letter-number combinations, but you have no idea how that works.

You tap in old-fashioned commands, but the AI is on its own turf and quickly dispatches you.
You've gotten better at chess. Your rank is now Learning.

Or, with sufficient Chess skill?
The computer does actually have an old chess program running on it, but it's entirely text-based. That's probably why nobody noticed it.
You tap in the old-fashioned commands and, despite the AI's home field advantage, eventually checkmate it. Wooo!
And the "Line Out" light goes off next to the computer. Huh.
You've earned 3 XP in Will
Leave it be
Yeah, they probably don't even have games on that.
