Add a capacitor array
You link the capacitor array into the system, which should help power things up a bit.
Plug in shivering capacitors
You link the strange capacitors into the system and begin to hear whispers from the speakers, faint sounds demanding your attention… as though they're whispering about some forgotten treasure. If only you could hear them a little more clearly.
Run through magnetic coil
You add a magnetic coil to the speakers, pumping up the volume. You're not sure what it's supposed to be playing but for now there's just static.
Insert a hound crystal
You slot the hound crystal into the speakers, faintly hearing a distant baying.
Add artificial hound crystal
You slot the crystal, like an unassuming lump of quartz, into the speakers. After it snaps in, you hear something like a distant baying.
Insert your resonant emerald crystal
You snap the crystal into the speakers and see a surge of green energy flow through them, a faint crackling drowned out by the sound of crystal bells.
Listen closer
Placing your ear next to the speakers, you hear a sound like rocks grinding together and metal clashing against metal. It's not particularly spooky, but the speakers might just be acting up.
You've earned 4 XP in Perception
(Or, after enough progress)
Placing your ear next to the speakers, you hear distant crystal chimes and whispers you can't quite understand. It's not unpleasant, but you feel like you've heard the whispers somewhere before and it's itching at the back of your mind.
You've earned 4 XP in Perception
(Or, after more progress?)
Placing your ear next to the speakers, you hear a scratching like something pawing at the inside of the case and distant howls. Whoever chose the soundtrack definitely knew how to make things spooky.
You've earned 4 XP in Perception
Or?
Placing your ear next to the speakers, you don't hear much of anything. A bit of static maybe, comforting white noise without a pattern or purpose.
You've earned 2 XP in Perception
Check the speakers
You take a while, poking at the speakers. They seem to be intended to cover a fairly small area and that might work in absolute silence. But, with any other speakers going and the chatter of a party, it's going to need something more.
Part of the problem seems to be ports added within each speaker, which definitely replaced some things that they might have wanted to keep. It doesn't look like anywhere to add wires, though, more like a small crystal.
You've earned 4 XP in Perception
Leave well enough alone
It looks like they're hooked up. It should take care of itself.
