Start

Talk to Lo after the Docks Quest. He'll send you after Dr. Amundsen.

Note: The captives in this quest can die if you take on the Third Eye without being able to defeat them. Even if you lose both, though, you'll still get the Slags Quest.

Outline

Preliminary investigation

• Lo sends you to Dr. Amundsen.
• Go to Metroplex U and look in the labs for Dr. Amundsen's office.
• Call Lo and explain that Dr. Amundsen is missing.

From this point on, there are multiple routes through this quest:

Direct intervention

• Lo will ask you to investigate how David is doing:
  • If you agree to help:
    • Rescue David as outlined at Freeing David (can win or lose)
    • Talk to Lo again.
    • Rescue Dr. Amundsen as outlined at Freeing Dr. Amundsen. (can win or lose)
  • If you tell Lo to go himself:
    • Rescue David as outlined at Freeing David.
    • If you succeed:
      • Talk to David to find where Dr. Amundsen is being held.
      • Rescue Dr. Amundsen as outlined at Freeing Dr. Amundsen (can win or lose)
    • If you fail:
      • Complete the Lost Watch quest to find where Dr. Amundsen is being held.
      • Rescue Dr. Amundsen as outlined at Freeing Dr. Amundsen (can win or lose)

Hostage negotiation

• Convince the Third Eye to Release the Hostages
• If you can't join the Third Eye or mess up while doing so, you will have to rescue the hostages as outlined above.

David

Starting quest

Lo asked you to make sure David, an old colleague, is still doing okay in the Abandoned Building in Southside.

After talking to Hawk about David's release

It sounds like Hawk might be able to get David released if you can get him a replacement supply of Eclipse.

Finished quest (success)

You rescued Lo's friend David from the Third Eye.

Finished quest (success with rescuing Lo as well)

You rescued Lo and his friend David from the Third Eye.

Finished quest (failure)

The Third Eye killed Lo's friend David while you were trying to rescue him.

Dr. Amundsen

Starting quest

Lo asked you to take this encrypted PDA to Dr. Amundsen so she can have a look at it.

After finding Dr. Amundsen's office ransacked

Someone ransacked Dr. Amundsen's office. There's no sign of her.

But she might still be okay if you can find where they've taken her.

After talking to Hawk about Dr. Amundsen's release

It sounds like Hawk might be able to get Dr. Amundsen released if you can get him a replacement supply of Eclipse.

After unlocking the Boiler Room

Apparently, Dr. Amundsen's probably being held somewhere in the Labs at Metroplex U where she used to work. Should probably search the building's dark corners.

End (Success)

You rescued Dr. Amundsen from the Third Eye.

End (Failure)

The Third Eye killed Dr. Amundsen while you were trying to rescue her.

Hostage Investigation (If all 3 are dead)

Lo was apparently involved in something major, which you're probably tied to now too. Hopefully he left you a note with Mikhail or something.
