Unlockable Techniques

Most techniques, once learned, stay in your deck for the rest of the run. However, there are a few special techniques which are unlocked under special circumstances but not learnable in the normal way.

Deck replacement

The wolfskin belt, charmed chain and Moodlight glove can replace your entire hand with a new set of techniques when you start the combat. See those pages for specific details.

• With etheric, wolfskin belt and charmed chain, the charmed chain takes priority with the message:

You feel the urge to hunt rise within you, but keep it chained.

• With etheric, wolfskin belt and Moodlight glove, the wolfskin belt first converts your deck to wolf techniques, and then the wolf techniques are converted to Moodlight techniques.

Unlocked in-combat

The following is a list of ways you can add a new technique to your hand:

• Using Skin of the Wolf adds Crescent Moon Tide to your hand.
• Using Crescent Moon Tide adds Half Moon Tide to your hand.
• Using Half Moon Tide adds Gibbous Moon Tide to your hand.
• Using Gibbous Moon Tide adds Full Moon Tide to your hand.
• Using Rattling Chain adds a random charm technique to your hand.
• Reflecting a gaze with the Anniversary Pocket Mirror (sometimes?) adds Reflected Gaze.
