Judging by the baton in his hands, he isn't interested letting you go with a warning.

Wandering around, looking for villains and oppressors to fight, you come across a good selection. Four dock security guards stand in a circle, beating a defenseless dockhand with their batons. You can hear his ribs cracking as you charge in.

On Winning:

With First Aid; note that first aid granted by effects doesn't allow you to heal others:
You patch up the dock hand after the fight, preventing him from bleeding out on the docks. When he eventually awakens he clasps you by the shoulder. "You, you really saved my bacon there. Here… take this. It's all I got to thank you with. <My old lucky hat. Did me pretty well until today/My old lucky hat. Or so I thought/A flask of my mammy's special brew>."

He forces the <hat/flask> into your hands, smiling widely. (Get lucky cap, unlucky cap, or special brew)

Or, if you don't have relevant first aid:
Unfortunately, before the fight, the dock hand took a great deal of internal damage. It'd take a better doctor to prevent him from bleeding out on the docks, so you make him comfortable.

Three gangers have surrounded a dockhand, two holding him while the third threatens him with a massive hunting knife. When you speak up, the two gangers holding his arms let go and draw clunky pistols.

The dockhand stutters something that was probably "thank you" as he runs off.
