You gain Etheric Power equal to the distance between you and your opponent when you have the higher chain number - that is to say, you gain ([your chain] - [opponent's chain]) of Etheric Power. For example, Evil Eye vs. Lash Out gets +4. Only the opponent you are targeting matters, even if other opponents in the battle use lower chain numbers.

Also gives a hidden +4 damage to Starry Gaze, lower chain or not.
