Encounter Conditions
Unlocked by defeating a sewer mutant in vigilante justice
Do you have to be in gang warfare still? I didn't get this for a long time until I rejoined gang warfare.
Initial Text
Wandering through the sewers, you find a trail of blood splatters. Following them a short distance, you see a hulking shape hustling further down the tunnel.
You can't see it very clearly, but it looks like the twisted creature you fought down here before. Judging by the limp, it might even be the same one, although it's hard to guess how it survived that beating.
Summary of Choices
- Charge it - Fight Sewer Mutant
- Follow behind - (if stealth power is +4 or higher): access Abandoned Subway
(otherwise): Fight Sewer Mutant - Leave it be - Nothing
Choice Text and Results
Charge it
You rush after the hunched figure. It rears up on its hind legs, looking almost human for a moment, as it charges to meet you.
(Fight Sewer Mutant)
Follow behind
(if stealth power is +3 or lower)
You slip after the figure, turning back and forth through the sewer tunnels. After the third turn, you lose track of the figure.
As you stop to pick the trail back up, you hear the scratch of a footstep a few meters behind you. The creature grins at you, obviously very pleased with itself.(Fight Sewer Mutant)
(if stealth power is +4 or higher)
You follow the loping figure further into the sewers and through a collapsed wall. The gap opens into an old subway terminal from before Metros bought everything out.
It's definitely seen better days, with its cracked tilework and moth-eaten carpets.
(Or, while etheric)
It looks… as good as new, really, with glimmering chandeliers and freshly laid tile.
(Or, with less than 10? perception? (10 failed, 12 was okay))
You follow the creature through twisting tunnels, until the trail heads into the deeper sewage. Despite a thorough search, you can't find the other end of the tracks.
You've earned 3 XP in Perception
Leave it be
History
Until Halloween 2011 following behind with 4+ Stealth Power gave this:
You follow the loping figure further into the sewers and through a collapsed wall. The gap opens into an old subway terminal from before Metros bought everything out.
It looks like it used to be really nice. Decrepit chandeliers hang over cracked tile and moth-eaten carpet.
