Function Message U Result
1 Offense You hammer at the Samurai routine, but its layered code repels your attacks. ?
At least 3 Offense You hammer at the Samurai routine, eventually penetrating its layered code and corrupting its internal data. At least 4 You've earned 2 XP
1 Command You command it to stop, but it informs you it must complete its scan first. ? (removes routine post-batch)
2 Command With a slick bit of coding, you reroute its scan back on itself. It finds that it is not, in fact, pirated Zaibatsu software and shuts down without complaint. ? Gain ?? XP, removes routine
1 View From what you can tell about this routine, it's part of Zaibatu's Samurai program line, which is best known for pushing the legal envelope on what is allowable in counter-hacking.

This one in particular takes their legal brinksmanship in an interesting direction: it's primarily concerned with finding and deleting pirated Zaibatsu data. Of course, there's no really good way to tell what's pirated, so you imagine it gets a lot of false positives.

Legally speaking, they're in the clear doing whatever they want to suspected hackers, though, so this thing might be bad news.

Defense/Other Justice looks over your functions, but finds no particular fault in them. ?

Every round, you also get:

With Defense:

Justice slashes its sword at your avatar, but you manage to deflect its blow.

Otherwise, with Hardening:

Justice's blade deflects off your system's hardening, dealing 1-2 damage.

(At least +2 Unsubtle in at least one case, possibly equal to damage dealt.)

Otherwise:

Justice cuts through the last of your hardening with its blade, scanning through your systems with its blade. When it finishes a message pops up "Thank you for not pirating. Sorry for any inconvenience."

Or, with an idolfusion demo in your inventory:

Justice cuts through the last of your hardening with its blade, scanning through your systems with its blade and deleting your idolfusion demo.

Or, (with no hardening?) if you commanded it this round:

Justice cuts deep into your avatar with its blade, scanning through your systems with its blade. When it finishes a message pops up "Thank you for not pirating. Shutting down as requested."
